The Holaco Construction Management Team

 

Sante Zaurrini

Sante Zaurrini began working for Holaco in 1985.  He started out as a labourer, then became a carpenter’s helper before moving into project management. Eventually he worked his way up to superintendent, and this path has given him a unique ability to troubleshoot on job sites. His first major project was the development of the three-story TD Bank building in Abbotsford. Sante now shares the management of Holaco Construction with his brother in Law Claudio, and oversees many of Holaco’s projects at SFU and Capilano University.

Claudio Suraci

Claudio Suraci joined Holaco in 1990 having already established his career in the industry as a superintendent for a large construction firm. Claudio’s first project for Holaco was the construction of the Klinck Building at UBC, and he has continued to work on many projects at UBC over the years, including numerous projects for TRIUMF. Integrity and producing the highest quality finished project are Claudio’s top priorities and he loves consulting on challenging projects that require a unique solution.

PROJECT MANAGERS

Terry-KovachTerry Kovach
Terry is a dedicated and experienced Project Manager who has been with Holaco for more than five years. He enjoys working closely with our client’s to ensure the success of each project. His favourite projects include the 6th floor Koerner Library renovation and the UBC Presidents office.
Alessandro VilleatoAlessandro Villeato
Alessandro joined Holaco in 2016 as a Project Manager when he moved to B.C. from Italy where he was an experienced project manager and metal fabricator. He works on a wide variety of projects in addition to being the primary contact for all service calls. He’s an avid sports fan and dedicated father.

SUPERINTENDENTS

Brendan Grant ReidBrendan Grant Reid
Brendan is a Superintendent and has been with Holaco for ten years during which he has seen many projects completed including work on the UBC Libraries, and the Museum of Anthropology. The MOA Mortuary House is one of his most memorable projects. He also serves on the Holaco Safety Committee.

Frank CiminoFrank Cimino
Frank Cimino has been with Holaco since 2013 as a Superintendent. He also serves on the company Safety Committee. Frank got his start working for his family electrical business and loves the team atmosphere at Holaco, as well as the opportunity grow and work on different projects.

Rick GramsRick Grams
With 35 years of construction experience, Rick joined Holaco as a superintendent in 2015. Rick loves the variety of projects he has the opportunity to work on with Holaco, and is particularly proud of his work on the IRC Domestic Water Replacement Project. In his spare time he enjoys playing golf.

Derek SegaarDerek Segaar
Derek is a Superintendent who has been with Holaco for two years. As a second generation carpenter, Derek formally began his apprenticeship at the age of seventeen, but has been building things since he was old enough to pick up a hammer.

Jeremy EbnerJeremy Ebner
Jeremy joined Holaco as a Superintendent last year after over six years of cabinetry and millwork experience. You’re most likely to find him working onsite at BCIT. When he’s not working he’s an avid dirt-biker, and enjoys canoeing and fishing.

Stuart-Stu-HarrisStuart “Stu” Harris
Stu has been with Holaco for over five years both as an estimator and now as a Superintendent. Before joining the Holaco team he worked as an estimator for a drywall contractor. Stu’s previous experience as an estimator gives him unique insight and trouble-shooting ability on the job.


ESTIMATORS

Hong_ngHong Ng
Hong is one of the original founders of Holaco along with Larry Zaurrini. In fact, the HO in Holaco is derived from Hong’s name! Hong worked with Larry as an estimator in the early days at Bengal Construction before Holaco was created. He continues to work as an Estimator and Senior Project Manager.
Robert LupaschukRobert Lupaschuk
Robert has been an Estimator at Holaco since 2001. With more than 30 years of experience in the profession, he enjoys the variety that comes with the job. Originally from Alberta, he moved to BC in 1983.

 


HEALTH AND SAFETY
Mike RobertsMike Roberts
As Health and Safety Consultant, Mike brings over 20 years of experience to his role in overseeing the Occupational Health and Safety and return to work Program at Holaco. In his spare time, Mike is a certified Canadian National B Licensed Soccer coach.
ACCOUNTING
Paul TongPaul Tong
Paul is the Holaco Book keeper in charge of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.  He has been with Holaco since 2010 and is a numbers crunching wizard. He’s also an accomplished world traveler who has cruised all over the globe including such exotic locals as Borneo and Thailand.
