About Holaco Construction
Co-founded in 1984 by Larry Zaurrini, Holaco Construction has grown over the years to become a well respected provider of commercial and institutional construction and renovation in the lower mainland. Based in Burnaby, British Columbia, Holaco employs 35 full time staff members, and hundreds of the best local sub-contractors. Our growth has meant that we are able to manage projects that range in size from small repairs to multi-million dollar development projects. Now owned and operated by Larry Zaurrini’s son Sante Zaurrini, and his son-in-law Claudio Suraci, Holaco Construction continues to expand while maintaining its commitment to excellence. From general contracting to project management and carpentry, Holaco Construction and its team of dedicated staff, contractors, carpenters and project managers look forward to working with you.
Sante Zaurrini began working for Holaco in 1985. He started out as a labourer, then became a carpenter’s helper before moving into project management. Eventually he worked his way up to superintendent, and this path has given him a unique ability to troubleshoot on job sites. His first major project was the development of the three-story TD Bank building in Abbotsford. Sante now shares the management of Holaco Construction with his brother in Law Claudio, and oversees many of Holaco’s projects at SFU and Capilano University.
Claudio Suraci joined Holaco in 1990 having already established his career in the industry as a superintendent for a large construction firm. Claudio’s first project for Holaco was the construction of the Klinck Building at UBC, and he has continued to work on many projects at UBC over the years, including numerous projects for TRIUMF. Integrity and producing the highest quality finished project are Claudio’s top priorities and he loves consulting on challenging projects that require a unique solution.
